"One-one cocoa full basket."
It’s simple: every single effort, no matter how small, adds up until the basket is completely full.
That’s how community work happens across Jamaica. When Hurricane Melissa hit, local teachers, healthcare workers, and community leaders were already on the ground looking out for their neighbors. Over the past year, Friends of Jamaica backed 12 of those locally led emergency projects as communities rebuilt on their own terms.
Now, we’re preparing for the year ahead. Our goal for the #OneCocoaChallenge is to raise $10,000 over the next two weeks. Everything raised goes directly into our 2027 grant pool to resource local projects in Education, Health, and Agriculture starting in January.
Whatever you can pitch in today adds another cocoa to the basket.
