Press Release - William ‘Bill’ Shagoury joins the Advisory Board

Noted Jamaican businessman, William ‘Bill’ Shagoury has been appointed to the Board of the Friends of Jamaica Peace Corps Association (FOJ). “I am quite excited about it and will share my experience with the Board in whatever way I can,” said Shagoury. He will function in the capacity of Honorary Director and advisor to the Board. He has been a supporter of Peace Corps Volunteers in Jamaica for many years and so was favorably recommended to FOJ’s board. “We think he is an asset to us and we look forward to working closely with him,’ said David Ingleman, President of the FOJ. The FOJ was established by Returned Peace Corps Volunteers who have served in the island.  It offers small grants to fund projects in Jamaica and has members in the United States, Jamaica and Africa. Shagoury’s appointment takes immediate effect and is expected to last for a period of two years. Shagoury is the Custos of Clarendon and in addition to his business endeavors is known for his philanthropic work in the parish and nationally.
